I am an unpaid carer to a learning disabled young woman with complex needs, writing about hospital life, unpaid care and what families are expected to carry when systems fail. Alongside caring, I live with serious long term health conditions and I write from over 23 years of lived experience of sustained advocacy, trauma and institutional failure.
